Simply Young
I want to be forever young
Just wish to live young
Lived a little too long
I need to understand
In order for me to understand
I need to live my young years
Live my younger years
Over and over and over again
This poem I write today
Is one pulled from my head
I decided to base my idea
On the bases of my life
I've always wanted to be a kid
I don't really want to grow up
Yes I want kids of my own
Yes I want a husband
I want a home
I want a life
Just not quite right now
I'd really like to live as a youngin' right now
I know I'm not ready
For the responsibility that comes with adulthood
I look to my mom for guidance
I talk to my grandmother for wisdom
Both have told me the same thing:
"Live your life as you. Don't bend for anyone else."
Their wisdom continues:
"You're only young once. Be happy and don't try to grow up too fast."
This is a story, in the form of a poem
I hope you enjoyed reading it
Because I know I enjoyed writing it.
