In those undefined moments when we have so much to say and yet can say nothing at all
we require a new kind of word
how to find a word to mean
"let's start over again right here"
and yet sound like the Beatles' song "Let It Be?"
how to find a word that sounds like a child reaching for a trusted and true hand
and also sounds like the moment
when you uncurl clenched fingers and toss away
all the old ghosts and false starts and old gods and lost dreams
that held you prisoner to your past?
a word to say, /this is not acceptable/
because we also need to say, /you are capable of so much more/
how to find a word that means #iloveyousodearly#
but also means, #iamunabletosaveyoufromyourself#?
how to say, "let me catch you when you fall"
but also to say, "never let me be your only salvation"?
for the moments when we have so much to say and yet cannot say anything at all
we can start with a new kind of word
a word that means, "Go in peace and strength and happiness"
and "Please keep me in your heart and maybe miss me a little sometimes on rainy Mondays"
a word to say, "spread your wings and go conquer the world"
and yet to also mean, "And I will always be here''
