About This Poem
MY PRIVATE ROAM
She drapes herself in aquamarine veil
Along pearly crests, bouncing foams lift and rise
Where a mermaid glides like a whimsical sail,
A reflection I own with alluring sighs
Glossed heat bounces dreams of my longing days
To warm a desire entranced from shore land
As grains of dew perk gills and mollusks’ play
A vignette lifted from tales of myth’s wand
Jiggling my feet on ridge of tidal frame
This my river adorns my sweet private roam,
Yielding life’s call, an oath of secrets remains
I become a mermaid in Neptune’s home.
