This is very well written. A child is just a child that can't defend himself. Children should be protected by all of us. I have a poem here ( About Children) Thanks for sharing. Lucilla

profound poem is this Marlon, and it needed to be written, you are so right, and how the kids through the eras have been used and manipulation rife...awesome poem, my friend....

How true that hope is sowed within the child. The challenge here is to nurture that hope, keep it alive as predators indeed can defile this. Also, I wanted to thank you for leaving such kind words in my poem. Thanks again, Scribe.

Well done, having been a child who was victimized I connect with this poem. Powerful stuff. Thank God children are resilient. I keep that child with me, he is a great source of strength. Thanks for writing this poem
