Love Without A Flame

Love Without A Flame Love without a flame Leaves one’s heart to cry Thus showing tears to drown in pain Instead of passion’s fire keeping them dry Love without a flame Will burn you every time Thus keeping a heart arranged To only beat through lies hidden in disguise Love without a flame Leaves one’s soul to bleed From a thorn that doesn't produce a rose to claim Only exists without a seed

A heart will always learn the language of love, but it also feels sorrow. Very good written Gail - wish you a good night, it's past midnight here. - ;o) oxox / / Anne-Lise :)

Russell, thanks for enjoying my poem Love Without A Flame. I'm laying in bed last night trying to sleep and these lines come flashing in my mind from nowhere. That's what we all go through being poets. Hugs always, Gail

WOW! This is some poem. I can say that I lived it There was love, but no fire, no flame. Life sure can be ironic sometimes. You just never know. Thanks for sharing this with us. Have a great day. Lucilla
