Life Lines

Upon close inspection
Seeing my reflection
I see a new line,
a new story
written fine,
near the
eye

Something old
finding something new---
A marriage with time

I've banished mine but they hang on so we live with a kind of truce as there's no other choice! You make me feel I'm not alone Deb:)

I never thought of an age line as something new but now that I read your poem it makes sense. I love these lines that have taken residence on my face, they are proof that I have lived, loved, cryed and laughed.

Such a precious masterpiece for people afraid of aging, like me! You are erasing the fear and replacing it by hope in a new future, just another way to see new life coming up, isnt'it!? Very well seen and very well said, dear Debra! Love it! Makes you feel serene.:) Love, Hanitra

I like your unique descriptions of those annoying lines. When not in front of a mirror, I am still 20.

You seem to handle them with grace. These lines your finding on your face. But me, I choose to close my eyes. Those lines just tell too many lies. :)
