About This Poem

Basking in sunshine

staccato drummings
   lizards commune in sunshine
      glistening bodies
          spades and buckets clink in tune
laughter as sandcastles bloom

butterflies fly by
    rainbows coloring their stripes
        lazily basking
           parents watching over kids
...bonding over the sunlight
