Gassy Gabby liked to drink pop
And sucked down every single drop.
Her favorite flavor full of fizz
Was pineapple punch, and still is.
She gulped it down and shluurped it in.
The spills all dribbled past her chin
And flowed onto the kitchen floor,
Then trickled out through the back door.
Which formed a small, but steady stream
That looked like yellow, bubbly cream-
Then creatures came out from the woods
To lap up sips of her sweet goods.
That motley group lapped loud and belched.
Their noisy gas could not be squelched.
They caused commotions ‘round the clock,
Disturbing neighbors down the block.
One day they couldn’t get enough
Of that pineapple, fizzy stuff
And guzzled down more than they knew
As gassy pockets filled that crew
Which settled down, way deep inside.
No matter how hard they all tried
They couldn’t get the bubbles out,
This was a problem, have no doubt.
‘Cause drinking carbonated sweets
Made them too light upon their feets.
Their CO levels grew too high
And lifted them up in the sky.
Gabby was the first to go,
And rose above the houses slow.
The creatures followed, one by one
On past the trees and towards the sun.
Then townsfolk pointed, stopped and stared.
An “All-Out” air raid was declared.
The gaseous group soared even higher
Which make the situation dire.
