Pick A Bunch

Strolling beside a winding stream, upon a sunny day
I saw a pretty flower, and picked it right away.
I plucked it from its shady spot, knowing it wouldn't last,
But luckily I found a beer can, discarded from the past.

Filling it with water cool, from a bubbling rill,
I placed the flower down inside, and continued up the hill
More flowers I picked, as I strolled along the way.
Choosing them at random, 'til I had a nice bouquet.

Placing the collection in a pot, covered them with ice and foil.
I reaped my reward the following day, from pleasures of my toil.
The flowers had certainly wilted, no way to get them back,
But the aluminum can transpired… into a satisfying six-pack.

I like your bouquet, too bad about the wilting. Sounds like magic.

I put a patent name on the cans lable... It's called Potpouri. Thank you Joann
