Oh Comfort Me

As a youth, my needs were many.
Oft times wrought with sorrow and tears.
From my parents I knew love and comfort,
Throughout my childhood years.

My adult years have been demanding;
Many problems I dread to face.
Dearest Loved One, you consoled me,
When you held me in your embrace.

Now eternity looms before me,
I know not how soon the days.
Dear LORD, I ask that you comfort me,
And guide me in your ways.
