who's the artist

the most beautiful thing
i have ever seen
is the peacock and it's feathers

the blue the green
the magnificent sheen
colored by the Master

i've pitied the blind
a million times
for what they cannot see

the colors of the peacocks tail
and other things that be
with my eye's i see

when i see flowers and butterflies so bright
then i see the meaning
of why there's day and night

when i see the beauty
that could have only be made by God
i never ask why a leapard has it's spots

i know that there's purpose
in everything He does
and He gives a beauty to everything He loves

A wonderful write, John! "I never ask why a leopard has it's spots"...I'm sure that is better and more enjoyable to just accept and appreciate. The design and colours of a peacock's feathers is mind blowing! Keep well John, Mikki :)

Only in creation do I find the kind of beauty you describe here John. Man createsmany things butnot the delicate beauty of a flower or the ferocious buauty of a wild beast. How empty our lives would be if we didn't have the creator's hand to give and to guide. Loved this one very much. Lizzy

I believe you used magic words here, your poem made me recall the first time I lplaced my eyes on a fanning peacock, the colors were as stunning as you describe here. Such appreciation and beauty in every word, it's like you took me for a visit to god's masterpiece. Thank you for sharing this John, love and light vie

@John 'The Situation' Loving III -- How did I get such a 'Loving' surname wrong below? Maybe it was subconscious -- the absence of your good, 'Loving' ways. John 'The Situation Hating III would be a more apt name for you anyway. How long did you figure I would turn the other cheek before I started retaliating against you? Too bad some of the other poets that you prayed upon like a serial-rapist have since left this site. How long have you been a bully for now? How many years has it been? Long enough for many soupers, that's for sure....

@John 'The Situation' Irving III' -- As I have already mentioned to you, I obviously had you blocked, but you continue to slither onto the replies of comments left on my poems. If someone blocks me, I respect their human right and freedom to do so. I do not infringe upon their human rights by forcing myself onto their poems via the reply section of unblocked comments. YOU JUST WON'T STOP DOING IT, SO HERE I AM. As much as you see yourself as being morally superior, you are delusional, for your morals aren't saintly at all. Far from it.
