Elemental Wavelengths

Heartbeats and Brain-Roses transmit petals on ley-lines. Vapours between tongues lick speckles of blood dripping to the ground, causing an earthquake to crumble apart a fallen, rotted tree, freeing seedlings of truth from its naked centre. 7.17.2012

Very good Chris... You write from a place that seldom poets no how to get too. Poetry that stays with the reader. Well done my friend. Michael

I love this poem of yours for many reasons...seedlings of truth, freed from the core of a fallen, rotted tree is an ingenious metaphor in my opinion...I disagree with David about having the edge on anything...thank you for your constant encouragement, my love....

I am glad that you enjoyed Christine's poem. She deserves more recognition for her stellar writing. BUT, as for my reply below concerning truth, that still stands, as I become a little edgy with people's 'truth analogies/proverbs', because truth is such a subjective thing.

Yes, Christine might have an edge on me, I agree. Truth can be a very subjective thing. My inner truth isn't always going to match up to yours, just as your inner truth can sometimes appear as a lie to me....vice versa and so forth. Does a seedling generally equate to growth?(a seedling out in the forest as a metaphor). Is this not true? That's the simple, pure truth I was getting at: Seedling = growth.

very nice, Chris. There's some dark imagery in this one, yet, to me, it reads as rebirth. lovely. hugs, Catie :)
