Bud or Flower

Bud or Flower

Am I a bud
Or bloomed into a flower?
Sometimes I face and stand,
Yet other times I cower.

Hide in the dark
Or face the light to which I am bound?
Although I seem to know,
Still I circle round.

So much gray,
Though it should seem black and white.
Why can’t the answer,
Look either day or night.

Free falling into nothing,
I grab at anything.
I want to shy away.
I do what I don’t mean.

A breeze now more a tornado.
Rain turn into a thunderous storm.
I need the light within me.
I need to be kept warm.

Hidden from myself.
Turning left to right.
I ponder what I know,
Though it’s black and white.

Come find me,
Anything that can pull me out.
I need to return.
I must cover a different route.

I look to the past.
Was I living then or now?
Where did I go to?
When will I find out how?

I am stuck here,
In a rut I am caught.
For I do not know,
How here I got.
