About This Poem
A sad song
unbridled passions
swirl rapidly like whirl winds
piercing through my heart
amplifying my sadness
as I drown in misty eyes
silent serenades
swept under the friendship cloak
poking saline wounds
obscuring past escapades
as pretense imitates life
guilty touches
born from a need to connect
harshly thrust aside
mounting my lonely despair
life … an effaced inscription.
