About This Poem

SMOKY BEACH WALK

A small wave beach,
Tiny shells of ages past,
Washing time again
To dry next day.

Fairy fires glow
In concrete rings,
A driftwood sizzles
As it sends smoke out.

An ants cliff rises
Above clam mounds
That bubble under water
As the lapping grows more frequent.
Then still rippling notes
Orchestrate the winds.
