Head Or Tail

Please do not extinguish my dream
Do not rip it apart at the seam
Do not flip head or tail with that dime
Tell me I beg you that I still have time

Time to repair the damage I’ve done
Time to show you that you are the one
Time to stand up like a man
Time to behave like I know that I can

Time for my sins to be absolved
Time for our problems to be solved
Pick up that dime and put it away
Tell me that I may actually stay

Head or tail is no way to decide
The truth is I want to salvage my pride
I want the peace of working it out
The quiet the need not to have to shout

If you afford me this time that I crave
I will make it all good till I lie in my grave
The choice is yours stick or spin
Head or tail do I lose or win

I really enjoyed your poem...it's hard not knowing what the future holds. But, everyone deserves a second choice. And, if it was meant to be, it will be the most incredible dime you will ever find.

I enjoyed reading this one. The head or tail was a keen idea. It all comes down to chance!! Not a good feeling having no idea what they will say!!!
