Best friend

You're my best friend
We've shared our whole life
together
Two petals of the same flower
But you tried to cut the stem

We always laughed
And shared our tears
But these thoughts you kept
locked up
And gave me no key

I find out too late
That your life barely saved
What seemed like short
distance
We were miles apart

I always told you everything
But you kept secrets
You asked for deaths whisper
But he never called

We hold the same memories
Good and the bad
You got on the train to light
But you had no ticket

You're okay now
That's all that matters
We can grow again
And still be miles apart

We will get stronger
Our flower will grow
Our boxes left open
My best friend you will stay
