About This Poem

An Eye For An Eye

There once was a couple of cats Who fought in continuous spats. The result was a tie When each scratched out an eye - An old-Biblical tit for a tat! The cats awoke up bleeding and weak And half-seeing the havoc they’d wreaked They discarded their clothes, Their backsides to expose - A new-Biblical turning of cheek!

Hope you do not mind the time I am taking to express my sincere appreciation for any support you have offered during the years, or time you have been here on the soup. T - thanks for the visit. Had some time to read today, always up for some lims - these newest ones are great. Got into your Boa trilogy for the first time. Wow! Will need more time to digest. I would love to see a cartoonist's depiction of "an eye for an eye." It conjures up great images of that Biblical prattle

Thanks Andrea... on occasion, I have heard 'cat fight' in reference to a fight between women... Of course, I wouldn't dare take sides on a question such as this... I'm afraid I don't have 9 lives... Terry (in any case I'm happy you loiked the Lim...)
