The Temple of Love

Build me a Temple
on the Mount of your Skull,
where walls cannot rise,
bricks and mortar are none
but clay at the feet of the sun.

Build on the Mount of your Skull,
the Temple of Love
where no lamb will be sacrifice
and no human undone.

Build from the left,
Build from the right --
the Temple of Love
on the Mount of your Skull.

Let be there no curtain --
Let be no crucifix --
Let be there no coffer --
Let be there no command,
but the Love of the Temple
on the Mount of your Skull.

I still remember reading this poem for the first time. Made me feel giddy....sort of in-between chuckling and giggling, in a warm way. I've always loved this poem of yours.
