About This Poem
HALLOWEEN NIGHT
ghouls lurk in shadows
rattling cans of bloody lizards…
evening hours throb
goodie baskets snatched
as headless wolves haunt dark streets…
closing terrace lights
beware, in moon’s hour
kids scream through haze of cobwebs…
doorknob’s lock screeches
children rush for treats
but aunts appear in masked robes…
on Hallow’s boo trick!
Halloween Night Contest of Gail
