Twiddling

Twiddling

I’ve travelled far
but how did I get so far away.
I’ve lived in shadow
and scaled the mountain tops.
I’ve no right you know
to complain to God or anyone.
I’ve travelled far
but how did I get so far away.

I spent myself
just spreading myself thin,
many loose ends,
too many for one to have.
Like everything a person starts
something to do first.
I spent myself
just spreading myself thin.

So, I sit and stare,
passing time ‘til it lets me be.
Musing on the “why
I wasted life”, or it wasted me,
and answers are slow,
but I do begin to comprehend.
So, I sit and stare,
passing time ‘til it lets me be.

yes, I sit and stare
passing time ‘till it lets me be.

I'm still learning. But God is there waiting for me to believe.

John, this is just a poem. There is no truth in it for me. I thought it sounded good so I wrote. If you truely believe that God is there waiting for you to believe, you are fooling yourself. God is there because you believe, you just need to admit that you do---not for His sake but for your peace of mind. He hears your inner self already.
