I put my foot down here, stepping in;
Not bound to change my word, my choice.
Under this shade I stand, over the horizon;
No question of an unstable mind.
The choice is to defend with all vigour,
I choose to hold on till the end.
I will be right here, now and forever more,
Come dusk and dawn, snow and sun.
Hand over heart, feet on the ground
With my beloved ones, my friends, my solace.
Not bound by blood but by love
I will protect the grace of our union.
No matter what the wind blows away,
No matter what the trees shed apart,
No matter what the tides erase,
Etched deep into my heart: our friendship.
That which for five years my safe house
Drastic changes on the way; a road has to be taken;
I will move on and yet be here always
Under this shade I stand, over the horizon…
