A Wedding Day Poem

When Fate decides to bring you love, Grab hold! You’re on the threshold of A splendid life made just for two - A life for soul mates just like you. Your being here with vows to say Will get you started on your way. But even if joy fills your heart, From now on, you must do your part. . . For things of value are not free. You must be working constantly At doing all the things you know Are vital for your love to grow. Your wedded bliss is up to you. There’s more to it than just “I do.” Grab hold! You’re on the threshold of A splendid life. Fate’s brought you love! For the Contest of Janette Fisher: When Fate Decides
