In Cognito

You have confused me with memory
You do not know who I am
You do not know the cauldron of history
Which is the lion, when the lamb

So you thought alter egos were yesterday
I am a million tomorrows in your blood
The nightmare that will not go away
Dance here where you find me, leave me like a bud.

Rotweiler, pitbull, german shepherd, dane
Mug or mongrel, watch how you spoil my name
I always see your shadow coming, you are Cain
I am the man who walked out of the flame.

Go to sleep now, and sleep lightly with my moon
You are tresspassing with my dream
Lion or lamb, my love's fire bring men ruin
I make my anthem out of a scream.
