Her playful glimpses evolve into stares
A curl of her wrist as she tugs at her hair
Crowds seem to still as you run through Times Square
But timing was never made to be fair
The pound of the music dulls into silence
As minutes slip by, you sense the importance
And typically, it's always last moments
That seem to stand out as the most poignant
And I know you so well, I know you're confused
I listened and ached while you sang the blues
But let her ignite your damp, rotten fuse
Coz when you've got nothing, there's nothing to lose.
