The Illusion of Attraction

This guy I'd never know

Whispered to me,

Held me,

Kissed me until the sensation

Of affection burned in my thumping chest.

He'd even tease me;
Dirty words of sex
And raging romances
That tickled me in my spine,

That made me giggle
Like a naive little girl.

This guy I'd never know,
Sang to me in falsetto,
The songs of love making

And wrapped his nakedness around me

Taking away my innocence;

The very thing that separated me from a girl and a woman.

This guy I'd never know,
Doesn't know I know
That his ecstasy
I feed him from my very fingers

Is now slowly bittering

Only from the thoughts

That this guy,

This very one

Will never know me.

    Your poetry is original...quite unlike the norm. Keep doing your thing, great people are not copycats, but make their own marks. One love. Joy Wells
