Innermost Warfare
headless body of flesh
reflection of inner self
driven by inmost desire
resultant in fiery death,
life’s secret stratagem
voiced by lively spirits
ever despised whispers
never dormant within,
masterful bellicose lies
deeply known betrayal
out of nowhere ageless
unrighteousness reborn,
evil imbedded thoughts
defiant inherent noesis
of mind, body and soul
innate at night till dawn,
past memories’ sinister
inner interwoven web
hidden captive victims
abiding guiltless shame,
warring long-sufferance
fain stealthy insurgence
against hope’s righteous
resistant breaking point
