About This Poem

mink and sable

The semiaquatic mink
Share a veiled bond with sable
Both furs adorn expensive coats
With designer label
What a shame it is
To raise animals for their hide
To satisfy or fashion sense
Or keep us warm inside

Yes... we do such terrible, terrible things... to animals... to nature... and, most insanely... to ourselves... Terry (Very good poem!)

Oh, I agree, Jon. In our modern times, there's no reason to kill an animal for any reason. Great write! Hugs, Rhonda
