The shadow on the wall Tells me the sun is going down Oh Ruben, Ruben O Don't take your love to town-----Yes, ashes to ashes, dust to dust, but I agree with Chris and you because it is the circle of life from nothing to nothing----an infinite circle--or perhaps, like Jonathan Livingston Seagull, we keep coming back till we get it right---but that will probably take a while...

oh btw, thanks for the well wishes for me....hmm I guess life can't always be wonderful in all areas but hopefully it gets there one day, you know? I missed you and the others here as well! I hope you're having a great week! :)

Shucks, now this is making me think. I think I will have to come back here to absorb this better-- thanks for the very kind words, Ruben! That was sweet of you to say. Smiles back to you :)! and you are being too kind to me. I am no great poet, but thank you. That description would be more apt for you :). I do pass by here from time and time. Ok now I see those aren't ticket holes. You really put the periods there!

In the beginning God...Created from nothing ...Enjoyed reading your work..It is sombering thought that this old body will go back to what it was but thank God that the eternal Spirit will live on somewhere..Don't know how or where but I know that it will happen..Thanks for stopping by..I did not enter that one in the contest..I am feeling kind of lost for writing right now ..Going through a dry spell..Sara

I'm going to zap you with a cattle prod soon if you don't write something. Now, lol, first I was supposed to say that Orange was tinkered with tonight but I didn't write as much as I wanted. Hubby used to work Fridays and now doesn't. Weekends are a bust and my girl was up 4 (#@!$ yah, 4) times last night. The brain is crumbling. Orange will be finished. Promise! I just need her to sleep 2 nights so I can use my noggin. I so appreciate your motivation, chum. Now, about you! LOL! ZAP! Hugs!

If time is merely a perception, can it actually destroy anything? Is not clay, dust, ashes....something? And even if for theories sake, all matter and energy were to be destroyed(energy changes eternally; cannot be destroyed), would not the void still be something? A void is a void is a void, is a something.

hmm..I think it's the people and the consequences of our living and mistreatment of mother earth that will be the destroyer over time.

Thank you for your kind comment on my Clerihew (my "first" with this form). Why don't you try it, Ruben? It is fun. Eventually time will destroy everything, but in the mean time we might as well enjoy ourselves.... ;-) Su

Hola Ruben, :-) I do not know what you are talking about.. Time has "NO" time to waste.. and when it comes to destruction.. we will be destroyed by our own perished religion. Everything will fall to the ground;... except one thing... TIME WILL BE THE ONLY ONE SANDING.... lol~ I'm kidding I love your thoughts... they are very provoking... xox~PD

Hey YOU! Will work on Orange next week, promise. He's been prodding my bum with his cane all week. Wait till you find out why she calls him orange. Now, you said you'd like to see some of these modern sonnets that have totally wowed me? Well, if you go to my new contest blog and race down to the bottom of the page you'll find some links. These are only some of the sonnets I've found. Are you a film noir fan? Talk about hybrid poetry! Dare you to try one, friend. Might ignite your pen again. :)

If prophecies are true this may indeed be true. You expressed your thoughts so well in just two lines. Wow! Great work, my friend. Missing you, but thanks for stopping by. Love always, Carolyn

Just got a big scare. I clicked on your name and it gave me some error message saying something like "no longer exists" WHEW Glad you haven't gone the way of some of our other soupers and just disappeared! :) hmmm maybe I should play off your time-take, write the reverse... a kinda reincarnation/recycle me spin. Hmmm... anyhoo, wrote another segment to orange. My ponderings the other day were an externalized internal rant, not at you, chum! I need to get off my arse and get to work on my tales

writing fiction is like ... cleaning out a garage, one of those stuffed to the rafters puppies. Oil spills, dead mice, a moldy old box that spills its contents. When done its amazing oh but the work? Writing poetry is like going through a keepsake box, a process but different. HUGS

Yes, the truth can be depressing sometimes, depending on frame of mind and circumstance. The truth hurts and feels so good too. Good little contemplative, proverb 'thingy' here, Ruben. Hey, you deleted your fun comment!

You are right. Someday the whole earth will be floating around in microscopic pieces in the outer universe. Who knows by then the universe may be void. I made a reply to your last comment you gave me.
