I Dreamt a Dream---Constanza
I dreamt a dream of moonlit night
a night of love with only you
a love that would soon become true.
A silvery moon,Oh, so bright!
It touched your face with utmost care
to get as if love's little share!
It turned the earth a place so white
a fairies' land of dream it seemed
and drenched us both with silver beams.
We walked whole night beneath its light
it kissed you with its softly touch
Your dazzling face I loved so much!
Our hands were clasped and held so tight
we neared a little mountain stream
and slept till woke up from my dream!
