Morning Fun

The lofty hills looked to the valley below and smiled
the trees stood like sentinals
guarding the valley floor
Overhead the sun laughed, pouring
warmth over the landscape below
The clouds played hide and seek
and made the sun shine harder
It was a playful afternoon
on a beautiful spring day
The weeping willows weep for
the sun did not find them yet.
The birch bark hide from the sun above
The poplars smiled for they stood
above the rest already soaking the hot sun
The grass around their feet was wet with dew
Again the sun smiled on a perfect afternoon.

This is such a lovely poem to wake up and read Phyllis...don't know if you are related to one of my supervisors by the name of Angela, a very nice lady indeed...I enjoyed this pieced and it reminds me of waking up back home in Jamaica and going outside to find the mangoes hidden between the long green grass all wet with the night's dew. One love. Joy Wells

Now that autumn and winter are next we must enjoy all the sunlight that will shine. Let the sun shine! (at least here in the "cold north".) Gorgeous and playful poem Phyllis. oxox / / Anne-Lise :)
