brittle cornstalks
crackle in the heavy wind --
at dusk the cattle low

    Only good thing about that Debbie, is, they can take the corn stalks and make feed for the cattle...if any is lelt after the wind is done with it. An Haiku that tells a big story. One love. Joy Wells

    yes, this brings up such sad imagery. When I was in the Southeast, we drove past field after field of dead corn crops, I would say that Isaac brought the rains a bit too late. Hugs, Catie :)
