He met her at the mall on a mild Monday
You are such a wonderful girl was all he could say
In reply, a sweet smile was all she could display,
Mobile numbers were exchanged…without pay.
A call was made on Tuesday and toast transferred,
She was swept of her by the white words he wired,
Her voice melted his heart, that was all he desired,
How about a lunch tomorrow? She was flattered.
2pm on Wednesday, it started with a glass of wine,
and it metamorphosed into ‘let’s have a treat at nine’
she showed and it was more than a dark date to dine,
twin lips locked…and they woke up in cloud nine.
He threw a thorn on Thursday; ‘you are a big bore,’
Coward! She yelled, do you take me for, a whore?
Deep in her streams those words stings her sore,
It was like a tale she has never heard before.
Thank gloom it’s Friday, she had time to weep,
Checking her phone, waiting for… just a beep,
She wished he did not drown in her dream so… deep;
At dusk,,. she counted sheep but she couldn’t sleep.
She strolled out on Saturday with traces of tears
Flaunting a flower with a facade of feminine fears,
Yet the whispers of wisdom blew into her ears,
Oh that she would reason in her youthful years.
It was a super Sunday, church service was awesome,
She clung to Christ to be her redeemer and ransom,
Nothing, only holiness now looks so handsome,
She went back home with faith and…freedom.
