The Sycamore Feast

"To the East, to the East" Cry the Ibis and the Locust Beast "To the East and the Sycamore Feast!" The call of the Firebird crackles in mid-air, The Ash of the Sycamore blowing in the wind echoes of tomorrow As silent slave bells bear creaks at the gateway Sing: "Catch-ink; catch-ink!" To the East, to the East" Cry the Ibis and the Locust Beast "To the East and the Sycamore Feast!" 28.08.2012

The first time I read this poem, it came across as a mantra/prayer. It felt like a mantra/prayer, and it always will. So many puzzles, mysteries and connections. And the Sycamore is just as much a journey of mysterious truth as the old Acacia. A lovely poem all around....truly speaks to me.
