ALEXS CONSTELLATIONS
On a cool and cloudless Autumn eve
He stepped outside of his indoor light
To take a stroll, and so took his leave
To feel the warmth of fire at night.
The flames now gone left stars on the ground
That are softly shimmering embers.
Inspecting the sky he looks around
To see if it lost some members.
He is overwhelmed – he wouldn’t know
If stars have left their cosmic stations.
Taking a twig he stirs in the coals
And reshapes earthly constellations.
