About This Poem

Wonderland

Pastels speckle the crispy ground,
gliding meloncholy spiraling down.
Pretzeled branch tickle the ivory dotted sky,
ducks meander Vee-shaped by.
chilled northern winds permeate,
Balmy sunshine will have to wait.
flowers abed crystal blanketed shawl,
Cultivation repeated must forestall.
White castles rise with foggy breath,
Winter akin symbolisim to death.
smooth glass cloak the water's still,
frozen in time with jackfrost chill.
Cheeks kissed with rosy hues,
Back to school with resignationed enthuse.
Hot coacoa steaming marshmellow fog,
Christmas laced with rummed eggnog.
Lovers encased await unwrapping,
Soon spring comes gradually a-tapping.
