About This Poem

Honeyed Dreams

Wonderous tranquil, luminescent night,
Astronomy among the freckled light.
Smiling moon its face a glow,
Beguiled lovers far below.
Heaven's canvas vast and dark,
Constallations incandescence furloughed mark.
Blanketed clouds alabaster adorn,
Rest secured in ebony worn.
Warbling crickets sweet serenade,
Amid a river's lethargic cascade.
Awakening the sun slumbered,
Polish sand from eyes encumbered
Blushing carnation cosied atmospheres,
Early fresh cockcrow reappears.
Ressasuring a blessed new day,
Honeyed dreams somnolent milky-way.
