The Witch and Her Cats

The witch carries her lantern and broom Black cats saunter around the cemetery The evil of the night doesn’t come too soon The witch carries her lantern and broom She shows the coffin which holds her groom The light from her eyes pauses momentarily The witch carries her lantern and broom Black cats saunter around the cemetery

You really are into the Halloween spirit right now! It's still more than two months away.

in answer to your question, the first triolet were french. The french prefer 8 syllables for some reason. But I have a few triolet that I did in English style iambic ones of ten syllables. (8 is still preferred)

Your syllables are off, but this works well as a modern triolet where that doesn't matter. I really like how you tried your hand at triolet here. A fun one you came up with, Russell.
