Empty Nothingness
hollow is the space
between one’s ears
a dark empty void
birthplace of despair
distant is its scream
infectious with fear
a black hole imbued
with emotions bare
infinity’s lost world
of beliefs forswear
a mind conquerable
seeming past repair
inseparable death’s
devil-may-care lair
wherein prayers are
an allegoric affair
immersed in streams
of anxious prayers
a mystery shrouded
in thoughts insincere
simplicity’s hopes
enkindle raw tears
beyond mere rescue
of heartstrings rare
prejudicial rhymes
yield vacuous fare
a psychic rising tide
oft driven to ensnare
this predisposed flesh
tho’ minimally aware
of deception’s vice
yet unable to forbear
