Deceptions

Rising light
warm breezes in morning
whisper tranquility
under a scattering of clouds
and I know each
by its shape
while I find my ease

until the storm

when I succumb to fear
of demon clouds
strangers to me
covering the sky
rumbling and thundering
cold rain and winds in the afternoon
descending darkness.
