The Mind in Cycles

At times I feel
rabid bees
are swarming my mind like a hive,
pollinating my thoughts
into ripe fruit
then leaving them to dry in the sun.

What gives birth
to these visions,
fleeting
decaying
gone
then resurrected?
Feelings
that mock the seasons
without warning of winter.

It is the many thoughts in our mind that cause all the trouble, one has to learn to keep the mind just doing what it's supposed to, and then let it go into silence. I loved your poem, Katy, thanks for sharing...Peter

Wonderful, this reminds me very much of a historical story from the past!

I suppose, if nothing else, these "rabid bees" aren't stinging you. Maybe they are? =) This is a very powerful question you've ultimately presented here. Why can't we let these awakenings become our garden of memories? Aren't we the gardener, using the power of choice to water them? Much to ponder here...excellent job!

Thank you Drake. Your interpretation is really interesting. Reading it again, I can see your perspective too even though it' differs from mine. I think I originally wrote this about sensitivity and the fact that emotion seems to have more influence on my thoughts than logic.
