Raindrops Falling

The rain pitter patters
Your name
Falling like tears
On everything!

The first rainfall after my "then" husband's death from cancer at age 34...

Yes there are all those firsts. My husband made it to 41 when he died suddenly from heart attack. Congratulations on your win. Love, Joyce

Congratulations on your win in my "Raindrops Falling" contest Cynthia. I had a very hard time judging this contest as most of the poems were so well written. Thank you for supporting my contest. Love, Carol

Thank you David...it is a sad song...happened years ago but one of my favorite poems...after his death I must have written a thousand poems...I entered this poem in the contest...I also thought about this one ... "Rain beating down Its sound thundering Inside my head, The silent telephone Screaming out to me, "He's dead!"... for the contest which do you think is stronger? (My soup mail is not open) send me an answer, perhaps on this poem again.
