Scratch in the Summer Sky

Cluttering the blue -
A thick white line of a cloud.
The jet races away.

    A very creative haiku, Gail! I never thought of that- but upon reading it, yes that trail in the sky does look like scratch marks-- very nice! I see this won, so congrats to you!

    Hi John - I was driving in my car one day, and noticed the puffy streak that was in the sky. It was vertically positioned and completely straight. The surrounding sky was clear so it really stood out. Glad you like the poem! - Gail
