About This Poem
GOODBYE KISSING
Hairs stand
On the nape of my neck
As I lean towards you
Butterfly wings fluttering
Your slightest touch
Has always tickled my soul
Through this kiss
Our souls has welded together
At this moment
We reside under the roof
Of inseparable
I've never kissed you
Out of lust
Only for the taste of love
And trust
Vowed, until returning to dust
Which insures God smiling at us
Like seasons, people change
We did, for the better
And spiritual growth
What we didn't anticipate
Is our life changing
This marathon of life
That I've ran
Has crossed its finish line
Fluffy pillows where I lay
Comes with the death bed
Aware, tomorrow will not come
My total existence
Is in this moment
As you lean over
My death bed
To kiss me
I pucker up
For the one thing
I've always lived for
Your kiss
At that moment
I feel the love
While I exit my body
Every ounce of strength
I possessed
Is in that kiss
My soul stands there
Looking at us kiss
Hurting, because
My wife doesn't hear my soul saying
Goodbye!
