Missing Mom

Please please PLEASE
Say you recognize ME -
My face, my name;
Please say you know me today.
Say you know me, so we can converse,
A normal chat, words unrehearsed.
No more who are you’s, or who am I’s,
No more confusion when I stop by
I miss you mom and you’d miss me too,
If just once, you only knew…

    What a confused place to be in. The relationships between two family members is a two way street... and it's a painfully long wait for the other person to make the first move. "words unrehearsed"... I really like that line. When you plan out a conversation it's very impersonal... a loving conversation should be unplanned and on the spot (especially when you're close to someone). Very moving poem... hope all is well on your side of the screen.

    Susan, Once again, we find ourselves trapped in the Holiday Season. And, hear I am stopping by to say Hi and to wish you a Merry Christmas once again sincerely from my heart. Loving each moment I found comforting here on the soup. Thank you for any comment or support you have offered now or in the past. Love always & forever ~ PD

    Why couldn't I tell my second mother "I LOVE HER" when she was complete... I am a bad daughter.. maybe I did not deserve either one of them... Susan, now when i visit my mother i will kiss her on the forehead and tell her them words ":I LOVE YOU".. Maybe when i was growing up, i felt it in my heart she knew.. XOX~PD

    Susan, your poem made me sad... I can't change some feelings about my mom... but missing her and wishing I told her i love her... during the time she was on this stupid earth... brakes me from the top,, I never told my real mother I loved her.. Maybe she knew it.. oh boy,,, thanks a lot for the tears... on another note, my adopted mother,,, wish I could hold her, and shake her and tell her to recognize me.. I am sad, cause now that she has that stupid ugly sickness,, ""I tell her I love her""

    A very heartfelt write, Susan. People's minds and memories are the most precious things, without them we're nothing but empty shell.

    A Mothers eyes see you forever. Deep in your soul no one can sever. A love like hers can never die. Even if theres only a sigh. So let God's arms wrap you up tight. When you walk away and say goognight.
