Day's End

The silhouette of a bird in flight
against a pink and lavender sky,
the pastel mural beyond the trees
is a work of art to the eye.

Night descends in painted hues
touched by a magic brush.
The most beautiful time of day
as the sunset brings a hush.

Fleeting is the beauteous sight.
Enjoy it while you may.
Sunset's colours fade to black
and thus ends our day.

Nice descriptiveness and rhyming, Francine. However, the second word in the first line is spelled with an "H".
