This poem is about the murders in Colorado, how someone can remove a life on their terms; not giving life a chance to flourish, taking of life when it has just begun to live. The word "police" is meant to control or maintain an order. "Black wolf" is someone evil. "Short-term lease" means one's stay on earth. This event has hit me hard as it has with many others, it has helped me to understand that life isn't just controlled by God; sometimes evil people control life. We cannot hide from evil doers, only pray for them...
A lone black wolf can seal your fate,
blink of an eye, can change your state;
living a life of deepened peace,
restriction of a short-term lease,
crushed in an instant, fear’s release.
Shattered dreams of every decease;
outcome unending, cries don’t cease,
concord too grueling to police.
Out of the darkness, filled with hate,
a black wolf lies in mortal wait.

To sum it up, an evil person can determine whether one lives or dies no matter how at peace one is with living their time on earth. In an instant life can be taken, leaving their loved ones to morn their passing. Harmony is too difficult to control, when evilness hides in the darkness.
