About This Poem
Prairie Sunset
The sun hung low in the heaven's
Before it proclaimed it's nocturnal rest
Sliding gently behind earth's round orb
as daylight slips into evening dusk
The sun gives it's last burst of bright light
Sprinkling the clouds with kaleidoscopic colors
Decorating and painting the land of living skies
This is nature's design, a radiant sunset
Creating an evening of pure prairie perfection.
