Black Wind

Like a sharp knife
   the winds cuts thorugh us
In the shadows of the
        day we feel chilled
   The seemingly endless
procession of stars in the sky
    Speak to us about
what really matters
Although our eyes are only
     a small part of eternity
We should not feel belittled
     by the vastness of space
Our small boats
   should continue to
hold their flags aloft
   in spite of the
bitter black wind

Almost feels like an omen, Matthew. "Bitter black wind", somewhat the tides of change? Still the stars will "speak of us about what really matters". We've such a bright and colourful world, I feel so sad when it is being abused. Best wishes, Mikki
