When the Answer is Wait
on bended knees
comes a lowly soul
in search of hope
knowing the answer
will not be ‘Yes’
though his quest
in utterances pained
he is ever hopeful
though the answer
may simply be ‘No’
and his faithfulness
is grievously tested
he continues ever
enduring even when
the answer is ‘Wait’
